About Cornerstone Landing

In rural communities across Canada, youth homelessness is often hidden from view. Many young people survive by “couch surfing,” and when natural supports run out, they may resort to sleeping outside, under bridges, in parks, trailers, cars, or abandoned buildings.

Cornerstone Landing is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to supporting youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Lanark County, just west of Ottawa. As the only agency in the county focused solely on preventing, reducing, and ultimately ending youth homelessness, we work to create safe, stable housing options for vulnerable young people. In 2018, we launched a capital campaign supported by events like the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY), and in December 2020 we proudly purchased our first house. Today, we offer three transitional beds for short-term housing and have developed Lanark County’s first secondary housing unit, a one-bedroom affordable home. Our Tiny Home will serve as an additional detached bachelor unit.

Funds raised through CNOY play a vital role in making this work possible!
