The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
Island Crisis Care Society (ICCS) is a local non-profit working right here in Nanaimo and Oceanside. Every day, through our 9 housing sites and 14 programs, we support more than 375 people every day.
But we do more than provide shelter. We walk alongside people as they rebuild their lives—helping them not just survive, but truly thrive. From safe housing to skill-building programs, we create opportunities for people to grow, heal, and move toward independence.
This year, funds raised through the Coldest Night of the Year will go to support our community-based programs that provide essential skill-building for our clients. Topics such as healthy eating; literacy; art therapy; job readiness training; communication; and cultural learning continue to have a major impact on our clients journey to independence.
Walk with us on Saturday, February 28th and help us to show the Oceanside communities that we care! Together we can make a difference!
Parking on site is limited. Additional parking along Veteran's Way or Village Way.
