The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
About the Revelstoke Women’s Shelter Society
The Revelstoke Women’s Shelter Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for women and children fleeing violence and abuse. We offer care grounded in compassion, dignity, and respect for each person’s privacy, culture, and lived experience.
The Society operates Forsythe House, a secure home offering temporary shelter for women and their children during times of transition. Our staff and Board of Directors work in a non-judgmental, trauma-informed manner to help families explore their options whether returning home safely or building new beginnings.
This year, on February 28, 2026, we walk not just for women and children, but for our entire community. Funds raised through the Coldest Night of the Year will support moving forward programming of free counselling services for anyone impacted by violence helping individuals and families find safety, healing, and connection. Together, we can make Revelstoke a place where everyone feels supported, valued, and safe.
